Minolta XG-1 with 45mm MD Rokkor-X f2 Lens

Recognizing that there was a market for a less expensive auto-exposure camera than the XG7, in 1978 Minolta released the XG1 onto the market. It differs from the XG7 by having a less informative viewfinder, in that when the shutter speed falls between 1/30th second and 1 second, a single led is activated, which indicates 1/2 second to 1/15th second. Additionally, it is missing the rear film memo holder.

The XG 1 was the second to appear in the XG series in 1979. It was basically a XG-E with a less informative finder display and a non-detachable back door. It was available in two versions in chrome finishing only and was an export model, not sold in Japan.

Awesome 35mm SLR Camera from Minolta. This is a fully Manual camera. The camera comes with a Minolta 45mm Prime lens. It produces wonderful razor-sharp images.
