Frequently Asked Questions
Orders & Shipping
How long does shipping take?
Most orders ship within 1-2 business days. Standard shipping typically arrives in 3-5 business days. Expedited options are available at checkout.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We ship to most countries. International shipping times vary — typically 7-21 business days. Import duties and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.
Can I track my order?
Yes. You'll receive a tracking number via email as soon as your order ships.
What is your return policy?
Unopened film and accessories can be returned within 30 days of purchase. Cameras are covered by a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. Email support@filmsupply.club to start a return.
Film
How should I store my film?
Store unprocessed film in a cool, dry place — ideally refrigerated. Keep it in its original canister. Bring it to room temperature for 30 minutes before loading.
What's the difference between 35mm and 120 film?
35mm fits the majority of film cameras and gives you 24-36 exposures per roll. 120 is medium format — larger negative, finer grain, 12-16 exposures depending on your camera. Both are magic.
What film should I start with?
For color: Kodak Gold 200 or Kodak Ultramax 400. For black and white: Ilford HP5 or Kodak T-Max 400. All are widely available for development and forgiving to shoot.
Can I push or pull film?
Yes. Most films push 1-2 stops without issue. Just tell your lab when dropping off rolls — they'll adjust development time accordingly.
Cameras
What does CLA'd mean?
CLA stands for Clean, Lubricate, Adjust. Every camera we sell has been professionally serviced, tested with actual film, and verified to be working correctly. No surprises.
Do your cameras come with a warranty?
Yes — 30-day mechanical guarantee on all cameras. If something fails due to a pre-existing issue, we'll repair or replace it.
What camera should a beginner start with?
A 35mm point-and-shoot is the easiest entry point — fully automatic, compact, and capable of beautiful results. For more control, an SLR like a Canon AE-1 or Minolta X-700 is a classic choice.
