This is the same camera as the N8008. The name F-801 was used in markets outside of North America. Can be used with any Ai or later lens -- we have a few Nikon lenses listed separately for sale on the site.
Like other late 80s/early 90s plastic-bodied SLRs of its type, its plastic construction belies its capabilities.
This camera will give you the manual, aperture priority, shutter priority, and program exposure modes which were developed throughout earlier decades; it also delivers multiple metering modes which are, as a rule, substantially more sophisticated than what some of those earlier stylish chrome bodies can offer.
This camera takes AA batteries, not included.
Our photos are part of our camera listings. We photograph each individual camera that we sell; you will receive the camera in the photo. Please inspect photos carefully to see cosmetic condition before purchase.

Nikon AF film bodies have legacy compatibility with older manual focus lenses; you can mount Ai and Ai-s lenses to this camera and shoot in manual. There are some quirks to how legacy compatibility works with Nikon so we suggest researching any manual focus lens you want to pair with this.
Camera purchases are subject to our return policies.
