Canon SureShot AF35 MII w/ 38mm F2.8 w/ Canon strap

This point and shoot is a gem.  It's durable, incredibly sharp and easy to use. This camera has a 38mm prime lens (does not zoom) with a 2.8 maximum aperture to let in plenty of light.  The flash makes it easy to use in a dim interior.

This camera is sometimes known as the "new" SureShot to distinguish it from its predecessor, also called the SureShot or Autoboy.  This one is branded the AF35 MII on the top plate.  In the Japanese market, this camera was sold as the Autoboy 2.
