The Canon TL is a manual, mechanical 35mm SLR with a TTL meter released in the late 1960s.

You can meter (stopdown TTL) at aperture priority or shutter priority with this camera, but unlike an automatic camera, you will then manually set the other value (shutter or aperture) each time you meter again or desire to change one of those values.  When buying a new camera, always refer to a manual (they are easily found online) to clarify operation.

This camera uses a modern replacement for a PX625 battery, not included.
