These days, Contax is best known for its legacy in medium format cameras (the Contax 645) and luxury point-and-shoots (the Contax T series) or autofocus rangefinders (the Contax G series), but Contax also made 35mm SLRs. In 1980, this was the smallest 35mm SLR with an integrated motor drive (automatic film advance).
One reason to try out a Contax 35mm SLR is the lenses; this camera body is paired with a 50mm f/1.7 Zeiss Planar T* lens (SN 6515460). It also comes with a Vivitar 70-200 f/3.5 lens (SN 37225778) and Tamron 28mm f/2.5 (SN 344982).
The camera takes Contax/Yashica bayonet mount lenses. The camera offers aperture-priority automatic exposure; shutter speeds go from bulb to 1/1000th of a second. Film speed can be set from 25 to 3200.
We photograph each individual camera that we sell. You will receive the camera and lenses in the photos. Please inspect photos for best information about cosmetic condition.
